Six months after Gamera's first appearance, a giant opal from New Guinea is brought back to Japan and the new monster Barugon is born. The creature attacks the city of Osaka by emitting a rainbow ray from its back, along with a freezing spray from its mouth, and only a fire-breathing turtle can save the day. (Arrow Films)

As far as the script is concerned, the film really isn't anything exceptional that should grab your attention. A classic introduction with people, the classic arrival of the monster, destruction, and finally, the final showdown that decides who wins. It's not surprising in any way, at times there are nicely used miniatures that most viewers will find bothersome, and then it just ends with some sort of message.
