Love Life

On the surface Yaara has everything: she is happily married, has excellent prospects for a university career, lives in a nice apartment and can rely on her family which, despite some difficulties, sticks together. On her father Leon's sixtieth birthday she lovingly prepares a picnic lunch for her parents, but they don't arrive. She begins to worry and hurries over to her parents' home. A strange man opens the door: Aryeh, a friend of her father's from school days who has been living in Paris and suddenly appears here after almost 30 years. The entire house is in a turmoil: the mother has locked herself into the bedroom and the father is nervously taking care of the guest. Yaara's instant dislike of the man soon turns to fascination. His mocking arrogance and elegant conceit attract her like a magnet; she can only drag herself away by taking flight. But she soon gives in to his erotic and contradictory attractiveness. Curious and hungry for life, she throws herself into the maelstrom of an amour fou that tears down the very walls of her previous existence.
