Adapted from Ned Vizzini’s 2006 novel, It's Kind of a Funny Story tells the story of burnt-out teenager Craig (Keir Gilchrist), who checks himself into a mental health clinic citing exhaustion, and finds himself placed in the adult ward due to the fact that the youth ward has been shut down. Taken under the wing of fellow patient Bobby (Zach Galifianakis), the stressed-out 16-year-old attempts to endure his mandatory five days' stay without completely losing his mind. His predicament is made somewhat more tolerable by the presence of Noelle (Emma Roberts), another teenage patient who's struggling to sort out her thoughts. (Universal Pictures UK)

English A beautiful film about people around us and in us. It’s Kind of a Funny Story is not really a comedy, even though every scene in the insane asylum is actually comical. But it’s a story about people trying to solve their individual problems. Everybody has their own way of doing that, and everybody makes a confession in a way that suits them. Every character has their charm and their secret. This movie was a pleasure to watch, also thanks to its cast which made a great team. Zach Galifianakis actually proved to me that he is not just a total wacko but also a great actor who is able to play any kind of role. I hope that Emma Roberts will stay this amazing in the coming years, because as it is, she is a joy to watch in every movie she appears in. ()

English Zach Galifianakis in a role I quite like, moreover in a film that tackles a grateful theme - adolescence, further complicated here by the fact that the main character (not Zach Galifianakis) is quite disturbed and commits suicide. He has to find his way among the similarly disturbed. Unfortunately, it's kind of bland in places and the main character is actually uninteresting. ()
