Plots(1)

Best buddies Rick (Owen Wilson) and Fred (Jason Sudeikis) have both been married for many years, and are worried that their relationships with their wives (Jenna Fischer and Christina Applegate) have lost their spark. Their wives decide to take a novel approach to the problem by granting their jaded husbands a 'hall pass': seven days of freedom to do whatever they want with whomever they want, with no questions asked. This offer sounds like a dream come true for Rick and Fred, but they quickly discover that single life is not all they had cracked it up to be - especially when their wives start indulging in a little extramarital activity of their own. English Average, typical Farrelly comedy that doesn't offend and is also quite entertaining. A couple of decent lines had me laughing quite a bit. The scene on the golf course had me crying with laughter. Oddly enough, I enjoyed the female cast the most. Owen Wilson is getting a little creepy. The script is one big cliché, but it's still a funny diversion. 3.5 stars. ()

English Quite an interesting idea. What happens when you give a model husband a week off? He can do whatever he wants. Well, honestly, I would see this as a really harsh psychological drama, but it's clear that a comedy can also be made out of it. The Farrelly brothers attempted this. Their humor, which is sometimes quite rough, quite appeals to me, but suddenly here you have the feeling that you have to wait quite a long time for those jokes, and when they finally come, it's nothing great. The moralizing of this movie is really terrible. You expect it from Sandler, but here... I really didn't enjoy this. ()
