Just Go with It

I tend to have mixed feelings when watching comedies with Adam Sandler. They always make me cringe, they always feature a character who cracks jokes intended for viewers with lower intelligence, and they are always more or less predictable. Then again, I always have a good laugh. This time, Jennifer Aniston was also cast in the film, which was a real hit. The older she gets, the better and I’ll even say prettier she is. I enjoyed her part the most. All in all, it was a breezy feel-good comedy, which made me laugh, and that is what I expect from a comedy. I was satisfied and I’ll watch it again sometime. This title speaks for itself. Adam Sandler tried to make me laugh and he succeeded once again. That guy just has something that a lot of people hate and the same lot of people love. It works for me and I look forward to every one of his next movies. This one is definitely one of the very successful ones. (22/03/2014)

Sandler is amazing! hen he's bored, he packs up two shirts, a couple of friends, two obnoxious kids and one of the hottest 40-somethings in the world and goes to Hawaii for a couple of weeks, where one of the least talented comedy directors will dutifully film it all; what's more, it makes him an incredible amount of money. Not to sound sarcastic, but yes, it's a film about something that very much resembles a turd, but yes, I had fun with it, and I had as much fun with the actors in that amazing setting as I've had in a long time with any other similarly-themed film (since, I don’t know, 50 First Dates). Unfortunately, it still has a bunch of annoying parts and the story is almost non-existent, so there’s no choice but to watch it once in a good mood and avoid it in the future. Sure, it's not original, there are clichés, but you know what? It all works as it should. An unpretentious romantic comedy that hopefully won't offend anyone's sensibilities, it's enjoyable and entertaining. A great thing to relax to. Finally, after a long time, a comedy where I didn't have to feel embarrassed at what the actors were doing. Plus, Sandler and Aniston looked good together, so there was nothing to be upset about. Heavy-duty romance. Sandler-style. It’s clear how it ends already from the trailer or from the description on the posters, but I really enjoyed Just Go With It. Jennifer Anniston has a good part to act and is sexy as hell (how old is she?) and Sandler plays it safe. Brooklyn Decker makes your jaw drop down to the ground, but I don’t think I could forgive her for listening to N'Sync ;). Apart from the classic template, we have resuscitating a sheep, jokes about dead pandas, jokes about homosexuals, a hand down the toilet and beating kids. Great fun... Maybe you should earn your own money. As a newspaper boy or something like that. The rich don’t give others money for nothing, that’s why they’re rich, understand? (28/05/2011)
