Plots(1)

Growing up together, Mitch (Ryan Reynolds) and Dave (Jason Bateman) were inseparable best friends, but as the years have passed they’ve slowly drifted apart. While Dave is an overworked lawyer, husband and father of three, Mitch has remained a single, quasi-employed man-child who has never met a responsibility he liked. To Mitch, Dave has it all: beautiful wife Jamie (Leslie Mann), kids who adore him and a high-paying job at a prestigious law firm. To Dave, living Mitch’s stress free life without obligation or consequence would be a dream come true. Following a drunken night out together, Mitch and Dave’s worlds are turned upside down when they wake up in each other’s bodies and proceed to freak out. (Universal Pictures UK)

English At the beginning, I didn’t really get the humor. Every now and then somebody shat themselves, and then somebody else threw up. But it wasn’t too funny, it would rather make you feel sick if you were eating, which now that I think of it I was. But then the body-swap happened and the whole thing changed somewhat. Sex with a woman in the 9th month of her pregnancy, or kids playing with knives and electricity. This movie is really unorthodox, but if you adapt and get through the first half an hour, it will end on a rather pleasant note. I wouldn’t have believed I would finish watching it, but in the end some scenes sure were worth it. ()

English A classic extra-corporeal experience with a frequent and almost unbelievably bizarre humor goes by surprisingly quickly and thanks to the Reynolds/Bateman acting duo, it works in principle. But the humor ranges from shit in the face thru licking fake tits to seriously good jokes that will have you rolling in the aisles, and so it all seems a bit inconsistent. The real trump card here is Olivia Wilde in the position every "full-blooded" guy would like to have her. A decent, bite-size snack. ()
