A farewell recap. When I put it on before the final episode I realised how much time had been devoted to the characters – a lot more than to the mysteries, in fact. Immediately after watching the final seconds of the series, I had the weird feeling that I got something different than what I had wanted. But now, after some time, I remember Jack, John, Kate, Sawyer, Ben, Claire, the mysterious island that remained mostly a mystery, and I will cherish those memories. Not everything needs to be revealed. It was a big and strange story and we were witnesses of it, that is what matters. Thanks for all those years of Lost. And let’s be honest, I’ve no clue who built that four-fingered statue.

While in the first seasons, recap episodes had almost no meaning, in the latest ones, they already have their justification and recapitulating the six seasons in brief on the eve of the finale is not a bad idea at all. The creators have prepared the ground for saying goodbye to those we have admired for six years, cheered for, and mourned their possible deaths en masse. And when everyone talks at the end about saying goodbye to the phenomenon, I really didn't want to say goodbye yet. And that was just the grandiose episode The End yet to come..
