I didn't really like The Blind Banker until the second time, when I became more familiar with it and, in addition to trying to understand the plot, I was able to focus on the relationship between Holmes and Watson, which shifted again. It's especially nice to see how Holmes gets on Watson's nerves, but also constantly impresses him. ()
I was pretty content with this episode, but I've got a few thoughts on it. Personally, I think the creators could've toned down the action a bit — some scenes felt totally unnecessary to me. Like, did we really need that ridiculously overengineered execution scene with the mini-ballista (or giant crossbow)? However, I will say, I missed Mycroft in this one. ()
