Dan and Mike work on a small farm for an absentee landowner in rural California. Although different in character and background, the two handsome young men, alone in their bucolic setting, develop a strong bond. The neighbor’s ten-year-old son, a victim of an abusive and alcoholic father, seeks them out for friendship and affection. When the neighbor catches the three of them swimming nude in a stream, he accuses Dan and Mike of child-molesting and denounces them as “faggots” to the other men in the town. (Outfest Los Angeles)
