English Cute movie, where Matsuyama Ken'ichi doesn't play some kind of nutcase, but a normal nice guy, and it suited him well. I admit I haven't seen the anime or read the manga, but that doesn’t bother me at all. The movie is plenty for me because I really enjoyed it. It very naturally portrayed the coexistence between a little kid and a man who until now was not responsible for anyone. It was punctuated with gloom, misunderstanding, love, and happy moments. I experienced and enjoyed all the hardships, joys, and sorrows with them. Daikichi's momentary reveries, the German music, and the dancing had a positive effect on me. A wonderful break from reality. Nothing challenging, nothing frantic, nothing suspenseful. It's an ordinary story about two people who have to learn to live together under the same roof. I wasn't bored. A better 4 stars. ()
