Miss Ripley

More than anything else in the series I liked the music. The vast majority of the songs got into my head and made it a lot more enjoyable to watch. Da-hae Lee did a good job, but I just couldn't love Jang Mi-ri, the character she played. I'm not saying I didn't have sympathy for her for a moment, but I can't see her as a positive character. On the other hand, a negative main character is original. Whereas I liked Seung-woo Kim a lot. Too bad he didn't play such an important role in the second half of the series. I rank Micky Yoo-chun as one of my favorites, but I much prefer him in happier roles. He was too uptight for my taste here. The script was interesting, but I wasn't impressed with the execution. 3.5 stars. (04/07/2014)
