Big-screen adaptation of Shakespeare's play. The Montague and Capulet families are embroiled in a long-running feud. When Romeo Montague (Douglas Booth) attends a Capulet ball in disguise, he falls in love with the beautiful Juliet (Hailee Steinfeld), the daughter of his enemy. Although already engaged to a man she does not love, Juliet vows to marry Romeo. They ask the kindly Friar Laurence (Paul Giamatti) to perform the ceremony in secret but bloodshed and tragedy threaten the couple's future together. (Entertainment in Video)

English Filming such a classic game just to have it filmed in 2013 is quite sad. Occasionally, there is an actor who was interestingly chosen, but the direction is completely superficial and self-serving. It's as if the creators said, "This is simply a classic and it will film itself." Hailee didn't appeal to me in this at all, and even Romeo is not an interesting character. This film adds nothing. I would rather see it in the theater than in this form without any influence on the viewer, without any emotions. ()
