A couple love their new house, bought for a steal out of a foreclosure. During their first visit they find illegal drugs stashed in the walls, and they realise this is not their dream house. As they are about to leave, suddenly their exit is blocked by a gun-wielding neighbour Spector and his accomplice. They come to realise the house is hiding more than drugs - it's the operation centre for mass drug tsar who is buried beneath the floorboards. On the run from the professional killers who want the drugs and evidence, the resourceful couple will need to turn the tables on their attackers to survive. (G2 Pictures)

English Dolph Lundgren simply has a face for negative characters. Mostly for this reason, he played the Russian boxer Ivan Drago in the fourth Rocky. It pleased me even more when he finally took on a positive role in "The Expendables" because it suits him well too. However, "Hidden Agenda" is a return to old ways. He is never completely proper heroes, as "Only One Can Play" proved, but "Hidden Agenda" presents him as a pure villain. A young couple buys a new house, or rather they can buy it. The husband wanted to surprise his wife and let her move into the new house for her birthday if she agrees. Why wouldn't she? The place looks perfect. Of course, it is not perfect by accident. It is somewhat of a fortress and somewhat of a prison, because that's exactly what it becomes for the titular couple. Two assassins are after them, wanting something from the house. A very predictable movie that does not stand out in terms of the action genre, perhaps it is too long considering that nothing really significant happens. Two characters who want to survive, two more who want to obtain something terribly important at any cost. In the end, an ordinary action movie that uses scenes from other films, does not come up with anything new, and does not let its main star shine properly. So I assume that it was Dolph who was supposed to sell this film. The ending is good, but his character is ridiculous.
