The most recent Polish historical super-production, Siberian Exile, tells the stories of Poles deported to hostile Siberia after the division of their state in 1939. The demanding production involved the re-construction of a Soviet concentration camp, and shooting in Siberia - the very first in the history of Polish film. The film's universal message has the ambition to appeal to audiences worldwide. (Summer Film School)
