Lamb works brilliantly as a glimpse into another country, another environment, and different problems. Who would have thought that one day he would be dealing with not wanting them to kill his sheep, the only thing he has, but something that could feed the poor village that is starving? No, we really don't have to deal with problems like that, and therefore we don't value anything.
