When a massive earthquake brings devastation to California LA Fire Department helicopter pilot Ray Gaines (Dwayne Johnson) rescues his soon-to-be ex-wife Emma (Carla Gugino) and the two make their way to San Fransisco in an attempt to save their daughter Blake (Alexandra Daddario), but their journey is full of unimaginable dangers.
