A car accident leaves a driver in a comatose state. Lukas, a scientist representing a team who specialise in neuron-transfer, attaches diodes while isolated in a sensory deprivation chamber to access Aurora's mind in the hope of mapping her unconscious. But upon accessing the coma patient's psyche Lukas enters a world of erotic fantasy and each subsequent entry yields a fantastical experience that at once increases the bond with the patient while raising considerable ethical dilemmas. Just as his attraction grows Lukas begins to withhold information from his colleagues which causes them to question his motives and everything they have come to believe in. English The most impressive bare-assed run in movie history, guys. The problem with Vanishing Waves is that it creates the illusion of a complex and broadly applicable film through its inaccessibility and formal approach (frequent long shots; objects in the center of the frame instead of people), but it's basically just an intimate statement by the filmmaker, particularly bold in the way it tries to visually expose the male subconscious. The more you look into it, the worse off you will be. ()

English A very interesting concept, but in my opinion, it's not fully finished. It focused a lot on the inner level, but in reality, it could have been even darker than how it ultimately turned out. This way, it's an interesting psychological insight, but quite limited and without an effort to truly explore the dark side. But there are a few good scenes in there. ()
