English Only this movie really confirmed that Ikuta Tōma is a first-rate actor and that his excellent Nakatsu in Hana-Kimi was no accident. The film is suspenseful, clever, but it rests mostly on the Ikuta’s acting, which – as the first sentence makes clear – was first class. His character is something like L and Light from Death Note with a dash of Robocop. And amazingly: I want to take him home! I want to hold him in my arms and comfort him! :-D Let's face it, I'm blown away that the director Takimoto extracted something like this out of Ikuta, plus I loved the concept and overall execution (cinematography, editing, music). It's not a comedy, and some might well say it's something very perverse. That's why I think a lot of people won't be as excited as I am. Still, check it out, it's worth it for Ikuta alone. ()
