Itinerary of a Spoiled Child, a sad, nostalgic film about an ageing man reassessing his life. Belmondo in an unusual role for him at the time, but one that suited him very well.

It’s not that I think Jean-Paul Belmondo is a bad actor, but I don't think I've ever given him a proper chance to prove it to me. In this introspective story, where his character reflects on life, it really hit home for me. And moreover, in a story that is beautifully nostalgic but not at all maudlin. A pleasant film.
