"Lost River" is a dark fairy tale about love, family and the fight for survival in the face of danger. Hech? Ryan Gosling took a break from acting, directing, and writing scripts to film something that resembles his director colleagues, whom he played for, but in reality, it's just something like the work of Herschell Gordon Lewis (and I really like Herschell), but Gosling painfully tries to give it some depth that he himself does not find. I like Ryan as an actor, but after his debut, his potential future films won't be something I seek out.
