Don't Touch the Dead, Kid

In Logroño in 1959, Fabianito (Airas Bispo), an adolescent and apprentice poet, watches in bewilderment the grotesque organization of the wake for his great-grandfather, Don Fabián (Laurentino Rodríguez), ex-civil servant and bullfighting enthusiast, who has spent a lifetime’s savings on buying a television. Fabianito will discover love in these circumstances, while the family waits impatiently for the arrival of the mayor so he can name Don Fabían as a Distinguished Citizen. The incidents and visits overwhelm the family of the deceased, already complicated enough, leading to comic and macabre situations. (TVE television ES)
