Young Suni and her family moved to a small village in Korea. There, they encounter a boy hiding under a bush and take him in out of pity. The boy was called "wolf boy" for his feral behavior and uncommon strength. Suni opened her heart to the innocent boy and he fell in love with the girl, the only person to ever show him affection. Then one day a threat to Suni exposes the boy's deadly bestial instincts, and in an instant he becomes the subject of the villagers' fears. In order to save the boy's life, Suni must abandon him while promising, "Wait for me. I'll come back for you." (Moscow International Film Festival)

English I liked the first half of the film a lot, the second half spoiled my overall impression a bit. Joong-ki was absolutely amazing as the werewolf boy and for the first time I couldn't see enough of him. No wonder the main character felt the need to take care of him. If the makers had pushed the envelope a bit on the romance side, I think it would have been perfect. Or maybe it's a good thing they didn't, because it would have fallen apart. Either way, I see it as a strong 4 stars. ()

English If you like a romance that is functional, a romance that works even though it has fantastic elements, definitely check out the movie "Neuk-dae-so-nyeon". It is beautifully evident that "Twilight" could work in terms of quality, not just quantity. It just needs to present the story in a way that is not terrifyingly straightforward and ultimately laughably awkward. "Neuk-dae-so-nyeon" is a powerful story and literally captivated me with its slow poetry and beauty of imagery. ()
