Break the String (2018) (S06E09)

English And down from the pear tree! I've seen and rated a few series, and yet I once again foolishly fell for it when I believed that the creators had found the right rhythm. The ninth episode was among the less successful ones, the pace was slow, humor was once again spared, and the plot didn't really convince me. ()

Chocolate Chip Nookie (2018) (S06E10)

English While my dad's story didn't interest me at all in previous episodes (so the creators will definitely come back to it), the retrospective with Carol and Barbara was very well done. Unfortunately, it was the only thing that really caught my attention in the episode. Well, actually, the duo Caputo/Figueroa managed to entertain me as usual, they are a sure thing. ()

Well This Took a Dark Turn (2018) (S06E11)

English In the eleventh episode, the creators went beyond the standard of the sixth season, so once again I could add a fourth piece. The plot this time focused mainly on interesting matters, everything ran at a decent pace, and because I was having a good time, I didn't feel like I wasted an hour of my life. ()

Double Trouble (2018) (S06E12)

English The previous episode gave me a more cohesive impression, this time I felt like I was watching more of a mosaic, but in the end, it was not a bad endeavor. Caput's motivational speech did bother me a little, but that's more of my problem. Whenever I hear similar speeches, it brings up unpleasant memories for me. ()

Be Free (2018) (S06E13)

English The finale of the sixth season disappointed me quite a bit. I would happily add one star, but it would have to be the thirteenth episode that also serves as the conclusion of the entire series. It would be an excellent ending, but now I'm worried that everything will be dragged out until the very end in the seventh season and that it won't be the happiest. It's a shame that the outcome of Taystee's trial couldn't evoke any emotions in me; otherwise, it couldn't have turned out any other way because it could have led to riots. ()

Season 7 (2019) (S07)

English Honestly, I was expecting a disaster. To my great surprise, I had a good time for the most part, even though it occasionally creaked a little. Too bad that the creators couldn’t avoid playing on emotions as usual. On the other hand, it’s true that even the seventh season managed to offer a very decent drama not lacking in humor. ()

Beginning of the End (2019) (S07E01)

English I ran into a familiar issue from the previous season - the lack of humor. For someone who's seen better prison dramas, this was a bit disappointing. Plus, I've been growing increasingly annoyed with the character Madison Murphy. However, I have to admit, seeing her face get up close and personal with the floor was oddly satisfying. ()

Just Desserts (2019) (S07E02)

English This episode was a delightful surprise for me. I found everything involving Artesian McCullough highly entertaining, and the auditions finally got me laughing. Although I was thrilled to see Maritza Ramos make a return, I couldn't help but miss Joe Caputo. Nevertheless, overall, I was quite satisfied with how things played out. ()

And Brown Is the New Orange (2019) (S07E03)

English This episode definitely earned a solid five stars from me because it ticked off several boxes on my wishlist. The return of the comedic-romantic duo Caputo and Figueroa brought a smile to my face, and watching Madison Murphy explore the charms of Missouri was pure joy. The infusion of humor was spot-on, and the immigrant storyline added a layer of compelling drama. Overall, I was thoroughly satisfied. ()

How to Do Life (2019) (S07E04)

English It's intriguing how whenever Piper Chapman takes center stage, the episode seems to lose its charm, at least in my opinion. I found myself somewhat disappointed by this episode. The storyline just didn't capture my interest as much. ()

Minority Deport (2019) (S07E05)

English I found the Diaz family's escapades particularly enjoyable this time around, and Aleida's explosive rage definitely grabbed my attention :-D Even the immigrant subplot had its moments. But leave it to Piper to spoil the fun by fully embracing her role as a complete moron. ()

Trapped in an Elevator (2019) (S07E06)

English I quite enjoyed the plot of the sixth episode, I was not bored by the events in the prison or outside of it, but the most impressive achievement was how much screen time Joe Caputo was given, who became my clear favorite. Every interaction he has with Natalie Figueroa is hilarious. ()

Me as Well (2019) (S07E07)

English Well, even if nothing else happened in the entire episode (which it almost didn't), Joe Caputo would have made it worthwhile all on his own. His desperate battle against the MeToo movement felt like something straight out of Don Quixote. ()

Baker's Dozen (2019) (S07E08)

English Well, this one didn't quite hit the mark for me. The episode felt like it was treading water with the plot, stuck in one spot for most of the time. The highlight? Definitely the hunting trip. I couldn't decide what amused me more: the butch leader or the whole sheep incident. ()

The Hidey Hole (2019) (S07E09)

English The ninth episode took a deep dive into family dynamics, and I was pleasantly surprised by how the creators handled the emotional aspects without going overboard. Piper even managed to keep me entertained for a change. And as Lorna Muccio's story unfolded, I found myself completely drawn in. Overall, a solid episode. ()

The Thirteenth (2019) (S07E10)

English I found the tenth episode pretty satisfying. The issues that popped up weren't as bad as in previous episodes. Plus, there was a good mix of solid drama and funny moments, so I didn't find much to grumble about. Larry's comeback startled me, but thankfully, he wasn't whining this time. ()

God Bless America (2019) (S07E11)

English This episode had all the makings of a full-blast rating, but it's frustrating how it repeatedly echoes support for the MeToo movement and cancel culture. ()

The Big House (2019) (S07E12)

English Towards the end, the series really clicked for me. The creators struck the right balance between drama and humor once again. Though, I was taken aback by Poussey Washington's return at the end. I thought her storyline was already wrapped up. Nonetheless, the drama intensified with Tiffany Doggett, and surprisingly, Caputo didn't bring the laughs this time; his cynical partner took the lead in that department. ()

Here's Where We Get Off (2019) (S07E13)

English The finale stretched on like a full-length movie, which was a bit of a letdown. With less time, maybe the creators could have avoided the cringe-worthy scenes that tainted the entire episode for me. A simple, well-executed farewell during the closing credits would've sufficed. Larry's speech to Piper was particularly cringey. Without the unnecessary filler, it could've easily earned five stars from me. ()
