Proper and precise building of a grounded, sordid and dramatic, actually in a way spy story. The last two episodes are set to be a real inferno.

I think I've finally got it — Inspector Campbell is the real killer here, racking up more victims than the gangsters. Meanwhile, Thomas Shelby is acting like an experienced ruler, using a divide-and-conquer strategy and opting for a strategically advantageous marriage over violence. I'm enjoying it more and more, but I really could use a bit more action.
