Cheongdamdong Alice

The first third of the series wasn't bad. The main character is absolutely amazingly shot and entertains the viewer with every movement and sentence. I admit that I played some of his dances several times in a row. The main heroine isn't quite as amazing, but at least she doesn't get on my nerves from the beginning. As time goes on, the funny scenes become few and far between and the lies, light intrigue, and of course the drama start to pile up, which at times was too much. Most of the characters aren't black or white, so it's interesting to see who ends up taking which side. As a whole, it was fine and I'm finally completely satisfied with an ending again. 4 stars. The heroine brought something a little different to the genre – she openly admitted that she's in it for the money. That's definitely a big plus for me. The main character was a bumpkin, which was also fine here and there, and managed to put a smile on my lips. It's just that as a whole it didn't work all that well, it really grated at times. It's not bad, and it's certainly not a bad idea to check it out, but don't expect any miracles. (27/03/2014)
