Mr. and Mrs. Teacup (2018) (S06E04)

English The episode dialed back on Elizabeth's ruthless nature a bit — those three dead bodies in the pitch-black darkness were barely noticeable. This episode finally felt like the The Americans I used to love. Still, I'm hesitant to rate it higher, fearing it might just be a one-off improvement. ()

The Great Patriotic War (2018) (S06E05)

English I had a feeling this would happen. The creators clearly have a plan, and they're sticking to it — ruthless Elizabeth is back, and I was genuinely surprised Ilya survived. I can't help but feel that this new black-and-white approach to character roles doesn't suit me. I much preferred the original gray areas. 4*- ()

Rififi (2018) (S06E06)

English A slightly cautious five stars. The plot was put together in a way that I really enjoyed. I was surprised by Henry's involvement, given how invisible he's been for the past five seasons, with only a few exceptions. ()

Harvest (2018) (S06E07)

English Episode seven brought back everything I love about The Americans. The Jennings were back in top form, the story's pace was fantastic, the atmosphere was on point, and the action didn't disappoint. It's easily the best episode of season six so far, which has otherwise been pretty hit-or-miss. ()

The Summit (2018) (S06E08)

English Not bad, but definitely weaker compared to the previous episode. Maybe it's just me, since I've grown really attached to the earlier seasons. What really surprised me was Elizabeth's behavior—maybe I misjudged the creators' intentions? ()

Jennings, Elizabeth (2018) (S06E09)

English I was very pleased with this one. Episode nine had a great atmosphere and solid action. The plot took an unexpected turn (in a good way), and I really can't find anything to complain about. ()

Start (2018) (S06E10)

English I have to admit, I was expecting the final episode to be a disaster, much like Dexter's finale, but it wasn't that bad. Sure, the bad guys got what they deserved, but the good guys came out relatively unscathed. It could've been worse; it wasn't a bad ending at all. ()
