US TV drama which follows a married couple assigned to spy for the KGB in Washington D.C. Set during the early 1980s when the Cold War between Russia and the USA was reaching boiling point, the programme follows Elizabeth and Phillip Jennings (Keri Russell and Matthew Rhys) as they attempt to juggle the usual suburban responsibilities of childcare and socialising with the less conventional demands of managing informants, transmitting highly sensitive information and attending clandestine meetings. Mr. and Mrs. Teacup (2018) (S06E04)
The third episode didn't rely so much on Elizabeth's heartless nature, I hardly noticed those three corpses in the ink darkness. This episode finally resembled the Americans I knew for five seasons, yet I don't want to rate it too highly as I'm afraid it's just a famous one-time occurrence.

The Great Patriotic War (2018) (S06E05)
As if I knew. The creators are clearly clear about it, so they stick to their plan, heartless Elizabeth is back and I was quite surprised that Ilja survived it. I really can't help it, but this new black and white division of tasks doesn't suit me too much, I preferred the original gray zone. 4*-

Rififi (2018) (S06E06)
I hesitated for a moment, but in the end, I decided to give all five pieces to the sixth episode because the plot was mixed in a way that I enjoyed. I was surprised by Henry's involvement because during the previous five seasons, he was mostly invisible, except for a few exceptions.

Harvest (2018) (S06E07)
The seventh episode was a return to everything I like about "The Americans". The Jenningses were working together like in the past, the pace of the story was great, the atmosphere was fantastic, and the action did not disappoint. So far, it was clearly the best episode of the sixth season, which is otherwise quite hesitant.

The Summit (2018) (S06E08)
The episode was definitely not bad, but compared to the previous one, it was noticeably weaker. I admit that it may be just my impression because I have formed too good of a relationship with the previous seasons, but what can I do. Elizabeth's behavior really surprised me, did I misjudge the creators' intention?

Jennings, Elizabeth (2018) (S06E09)
This time I was very satisfied, the ninth episode once again had an outstanding atmosphere and very decent action, the plot developed somewhat differently than I originally expected (which is only good) and I found no reason to complain.

Start (2018) (S06E10)
To be honest, I expected the final episode to be a major disaster, similar to the finale of Dexter, but it wasn't that bad. Granted, evil was (as in every fairy tale) rightfully punished, but despite the well-fed wolf, the goat remained mostly unharmed. It could have been worse, it wasn't bad.
