Teeth, teeth, teeth… boo-hoo! Fairytale is a fairly eager little horror movie, but eagerness is not enough. All those clichés like “kid painting scary pictures”, “kid on a swing”, “wall covered in newspaper clips”, etc. work a lot better in films with good actors and with dialogues that aren’t so unoriginal that sometimes make your toes curl. If it was an underfunded, home-made attempt by fans, I would gladly give it a third star for the effort… but the moment they start stuffing things with awful digital effects, I can no longer turn a blind eye.
