English I don't remember this movie much, but I'm sure I've seen it. It really caught my attention, especially the action scenes in the second part are good, thanks to the overall good direction, action, and also the setting. Götz George is excellent and funny as Surehand even before Shimanski, and he is a great contrast to Vinnetou, who is a bit colder. ()

English Stewart Granger in action for the first time and immediately failing. Nothing against his acting abilities, but the love for the source material simply prevails. The dubbed Old Surehand never sat well with me, and when even Lex Barker cannot show up, it's bad. The first bad May film, unfortunately foreshadowing a several-year decline. ()
