During the last major German offensive of World War II, a company of American soldiers is lost behind enemy lines during the Battle of the Bulge and they make a horrific discovery - Hitler has a super bomb in development. The soldiers soon learn about a secret allied mission to retrieve a defecting German scientist in charge of Hitler’s weapons programme. Faced with impossible odds, the company and an escaping POW go on a daring raid into the heart of Nazi Germany in pursuit of the scientist. (Sony Pictures Home Entertainment)

I am not really a fan of war movies and it seems that I will never become one. I acknowledge the movie "Saving Private Ryan", I liked the film "Enemy at the Gates", but that's all that has left a mark on me from the war filmography. I never sought out these movies. Maybe being born twenty years earlier, my approach to them would be different. Perhaps I will still find my way to them, after all, I managed to do it with westerns, even though my love for them had been smoldering for a long time. War movies will have to wait for now.
