When Jack and Nim learn that the Buccaneer Resort Company has purchased Nim's Island, Jack heads to Brisbane to convince the powers that be that the island is worth preserving while Nim insists on staying behind to try another way to save the island – by proving that at least three endangered species live there. Continuation of a rather pleasant movie with Gerard Butler and Jodie Foster, except that neither of these actors returned. In the end, neither did the actress playing Nim, Abigail Breslin. The sequel is based on the same premise as the previous film, essentially about saving a paradise island. It's strongly ecological, pseudo-adventurous, unnecessarily digital, and unbelievably transparent without a single decent idea and actually without any nice shots. Simply nothing you wouldn't normally see on television.
