Walk This Way (2014) (S02E07)

English Even though the episode focused mainly on the Donovan family dynamics, I really enjoyed it. Everyone forgetting Conor’s birthday was hilarious on its own, but the subsequent birthday party was absolutely perfect. Mickey really stole the show this time!:-) ()

Sunny (2014) (S02E08)

English If it hadn’t been for the fantastic ending, I’d have given this episode just four stars. The scenes with Bridget and Marvin are really starting to annoy me, and the recording studio subplot was the last straw. However, Avi's attempt to dodge an unpleasant task and Mickey’s conversation with his parole officer were hilarious. "Fat black ass." "Family member?" ()

Snowflake (2014) (S02E09)

English Abby's constant yelling really got on my nerves, and Bunchy's problems were just too boring. However, the way things developed gives me hope that the next episode might be much more interesting, so I’m cautiously optimistic. ()

Volcheck (2014) (S02E10)

English A standard episode: solid script, great acting, and several well-developed storylines, but it still felt like something was missing. To give it five stars, I needed more gripping pace or quality action. Volcheck’s final scene alone wasn’t enough. ()

Rodef (2014) (S02E11)

English What was missing in the previous episode, I found in this one. Ray’s introspection contrasted nicely with Mickey’s team’s action, and both storylines came together beautifully in a fantastic finale. The discovered video sets up an exciting conclusion, so here's hoping the writers deliver. ()

The Captain (2014) (S02E12)

English Season two finale was the best of the series so far. I was thoroughly entertained from start to finish. The creators did a fantastic job building up to an intense climax and left me excited for season three. ()

Season 3 (2015) (S03)

English I definitely enjoyed Season 3 more than the previous season. Well, except the fourth episode which was a huge disappointment for me. Luckily, it turned out to be an isolated incident and my overall impression of the season was excellent. Eddie Marsan's acting performance keeps getting better and better. His Terry Donovan is increasingly entertaining. Even the character of Bunchy no longer got on my nerves, and often amused me. I was glad that the writers brought back ex-agent Cochran and the whole Finney family. These characters give the series a new edge. ()

The Kalamazoo (2015) (S03E01)

English The first episode of season three didn’t blow me away. Normally, I’d give it four stars, but the addition of Ian McShane earns it an extra star from me. ()

Ding (2015) (S03E02)

English The creators nailed a mix of funny scenes with Mickey’s new business venture and Bunchy’s new love interest, along with some solid action from Ray and Terry. I’m still not sure what to make of the fake priest or the Finney family, but I'm intrigued. ()

Come and Knock on Our Door (2015) (S03E03)

English The story’s pace slowed down a lot, and the action I enjoyed in the last two episodes was missing. Bunchy, who really annoyed me last season, is actually quite fun this time around. However, Abby feels like the writers don’t quite know what to do with her. ()

Breakfast of Champions (2015) (S03E04)

English For the first time, I’m giving this show just three stars. The story’s pace was even slower than the previous episode. Abby’s return to Boston didn’t interest me at all, Conor has become such a spoiled brat that I can’t stand him, and Ray’s new job isn’t really grabbing me either. ()

Handshake Deal (2015) (S03E05)

English Thankfully, episode five wasn’t as bad as the previous one, though the creators still seem unsure about Abby’s character. Bunchy managed to make me laugh again, and Mickey and Daryl kept things interesting. The situation with the Finneys is getting more complicated, and I feel like Eddie Marsan’s performance keeps getting better. ()

Swing Vote (2015) (S03E06)

English For what was supposed to be a hectic election day, the story's pace was pretty slow. By the end of the episode, it felt like the plot hadn’t progressed much. Luckily, Bunchy (or rather, Brandon), his Mexican fiancée, and a wonderfully paranoid Terry kept me entertained. 4*- ()

All Must Be Loved (2015) (S03E07)

English The seventh episode picked up the momentum again. The story had a good flow, decent action, and some intriguing twists. I was pleasantly surprised by the direction Father Romero’s storyline took. ()

Tulip (2015) (S03E08)

English Another episode with a solid pace that kept me entertained from start to finish. Ray and Lena, along with their little animal escapades, provided some great moments. It was nice to see the old team back together, though Avi looks a bit worse for wear. ()

The Octopus (2015) (S03E09)

English Even without major action, Mickey stirred up a chain of unfortunate events with his antics. Well, “unfortunate” might be a stretch — I actually enjoyed it. The episode picked up a good pace, and I was pleased to see Cochran return. ()

One Night in Yerevan (2015) (S03E10)

English I’m really enjoying the final stretch of season three. This episode wasn’t packed with action, but it was still a lot of fun. The Finney family and the return of Cochran added just the right amount of spice to keep things interesting. ()

Poker (2015) (S03E11)

English A great episode. I genuinely enjoyed watching Ray scramble to save his own skin for a change. Bringing in Cochran and the Finneys was a brilliant move by the writers. ()

Exsuscito (2015) (S03E12)

English The season finale was all about the action, and now I see why the creators held back in the last few episodes. This episode had a great pace, building up a solid atmosphere and tension. Even the family drama with Ray’s dysfunctional clan didn’t bother me this time. ()

Season 4 (2016) (S04)

English The weakest season of the series so far. At times it seemed that the writers did a line with Mickey. The biggest disappointment was waiting for me at the end. Every season finale until this one had been excellent, but there wasn’t much to look forward to this time, there was no energy. ()
