Todd (Tyler Labine) wants everything to be just perfect at the family cottage where he plans to propose to the love of his life Cammie (Malin Akerman). But things begin to go awry when they are joined at cottage unexpectedly by Todd's slacker brother Salinger (Dan Petronijevic) and his free-spirited girlfriend Masha (Lucy Punch). When an argument between the two brothers sees Todd accidently dispatching his irksome sibling with an axe, Cammie is determined not to let murder stand in the way of their perfect weekend... Just the fact that Tyler Labine is Malin Åkerman's partner is a bit weird. She is divine, he is just a fool. Maybe I am a little biased, but why should this couple work? It doesn't work, just like the stupid plot, which is developed into senseless nonsense. The ending is just a consequence of how the whole movie was directed. Unpleasant characters, when their jokes are not funny at all. Unfortunately, it is really just a waste of time. I'm especially sorry because of Malin. No, don't expect another Tucker and Dale in this.
