Plots(1)

Shaun is a clever, mischievous sheep who lives with his flock on Mossy Bottom Farm, under the nominal supervision of The Farmer. Despite Shaun’s best efforts, life on the farm has got into a bit of a rut, and Shaun concocts a cunning plan - to have a day off. Events rapidly escalate out of control and Shaun’s mischief inadvertently leads to the hapless farmer being taken away from the farm and into the Big City. With the flock’s help, Shaun must leave the farm for the first time in order to rescue The Farmer. But how will the sheep survive? Can they avoid being recognised as sheep and thus avoid the clutches of a fearsome animal catcher? In the course of an action-packed adventure they experience a host of wild and funny mishaps, as well as meeting new and interesting characters, including a little orphan dog called Slip who makes Shaun realise that having a home and a family is not something to be taken for granted. English Few people can create quality slapstick entertainment completely free of meaningful dialogue and with a story on the level of a seven-year-old child, and the creators of Shaun the Sheep handle it almost perfectly. An inexhaustible geyser of great ideas, which in some cases spouts stuff we’ve seen hundreds of times before, but always in the next moment surprises with a joke or reference so well thought out and creative that it's hard to believe (the evil staring dog in the opposite cell was even funnier than funny:))..... Top it off with a dose of emotion, the necessary pathos and a super unlucky villain that I really enjoyed, and we have not only a great film, but also a great potential for future projects. 85% ()

English It's great, like everything Aardman Studio does, and their animation is simply unique and I have nothing against it. However, when it comes to the story, it didn't really captivate me on its own. There are some excellent gags, but for me, there weren't enough of them to give me once again the feeling that I've seen something exceptional in the film. ()

English I have seen a few episodes of the TV series and quite liked it so I expected the same from the movie, and I certainly was not disappointed. On the contrary, I have to say that this feature-length movie was quite respectable. It is full of good ideas and, like, Wallace and Gromit; it is properly off-the-wall. I particularly enjoyed the soundtrack, as the music was well selected and managed to evoke the right atmosphere and mood. It also gave the movie’s narrative the depth it needed. In addition, I also really liked the main antagonist, the animal warden, who was properly evil and at the same time a little bit over the top. Overall, I feel satisfied. 8/10. ()

English Great! Perhaps more childish than the other full-length Aardmans, but still first-class entertainment. And the staring dog with bloodshot eyes is my new hero!___P.S. The Czech distributor really failed by not having subtitles. If parents want their kids to understand something, they can't avoid explaining it..___P.P.S. The joke after the end credits is a match for anything after the end credits by Marvel. ()
