The 2,000 years The Vatican has recorded evidence of evil. These documents of unexplained religious phenomena and demonic possession have been guarded from the world. Until now. After a young woman begins to express erratic and aggressive behaviour, her father and boyfriend become increasingly concerned. Their fears escalate when she seems to have a devastating and deadly effect on anyone close. Hearing about her haunting story, Father Lorenzo calls upon the Church when he suspects possession. English The Vatican Tapes doesn't bring any humor, which might be expected with Michael Peña's presence. There is simply nothing here that sets the film apart. The movie isn't badly directed, but it lacks anything a bit different, anything that would make you think it still makes sense to make exorcism movies. I haven't seen one I've appreciated in a long time. The Vatican Tapes is just another of many. ()
