"Banshee Chapter" manages to stay afloat, and for about an hour and a half, you can handle and enjoy it relatively peacefully without having to suffer. Yes, it is found footage and the special effects are very weak, you won't see anything here, but the story format works, and if the unveiling wasn't so forced, it could have even achieved a higher rating. I'm glad that someone still has ideas on how to breathe some life into found footage. It's not great, but the possibilities are there, and maybe someone will really take advantage of them.

The solid approach to an interesting mythology and the surprising atmospheric strength of several scenes overcome the stupidity of the story, which at times is crushing. It’s not “found-footage” for most of it, but you still see fuck-all. Next time, I hope you get a better script, Mr Erickson. 5/10
