Kate and Humphrey and their three wolf cubs (Smokey, Claudette and Runt) are happily preparing to celebrate their first Christmas together when their smallest cub, Runt, mysteriously disappears. They must now go on a journey across the wilderness to find and bring back Runt before the winter festivities begin at home. It's their greatest adventure yet, filled with action and suspense as well as plenty of the humour and heart-warming moments that were delivered in the first theatrical release. Two dogs from the first part have puppies, the length of the footage has been shortened by half, so it's now 45 minutes long, which makes it more bearable and actually funnier. The little puppies are cute, and even though they go through a similar journey as their parents, they are much more tolerable. The film is not particularly exceptional, the animation is still not at the level of the best current films, but it works better in terms of story and emotion. However, the snow was definitely not a good idea.
