Duncan decides the perfect Christmas present for his beloved, seriously ill wife Suzy is a ride on a real Ferris wheel, set up in their own backyard. Why? Because it was while riding one years earlier that Duncan asked Suzy to marry him. This inspirational family movie tells the story of a man named Duncan who, despite his reputation as the town curmudgeon, is a very doting husband behind closed doors. Duncan decides to bring his affection to the outdoors however, when his wife Suzy becomes ill, and he decides that as a Christmas present for her, he'll take on the massive task of erecting a full sized Ferris Wheel in their back yard, just like the one he proposed to her on. Nice, human, inoffensive. Now add a life story with actors who are a joy to watch. American TV dramas are mostly boring hogwash, but this movie seemed like it was telling the story of someone, for example, in your neighborhood.
