Plots(1)

In India there are many ways to cure diseases. When an ordinary girl of 14, called Kusum, refuses to eat and speak and starts to have tantrums, traditional methods are put to use: exorcising spirits. Spirits are thought to be the cause of the weird disease which western medicine can't cure. Foreman Bhagat is leading the procedures with his recipes. Kusum, a confusing yet touching documentary film lets the viewer see a part of a life of a family in distress. Kusum has to go through therapy which we would consider odd and mystical – even a bluff. The film makes one ponder, can we compare the methods used to treat Kusum to psychotherapy so common in the western world.
