In order to shoot his documentary, Dean Puckett abandoned a normal way of life for three years and became a member of a community in the middle of London that created a microcosm with its own rules: the ecovillage. Despite the exasperation of the developer who owns the land, the inhabitants of the ecovillage experience a sense of community and freedom. We then watch the same handful of activists demonstrating against British military intervention in Afghanistan. Their method of protest is again to occupy public spaces. Through the director as a direct participant in these events, we see how much effort is needed in the fight for the idea of community life. (One World)
