Blue Thunder is a helicopter specially modified for police work, but is armed and designed to counter street insurgencies. This movie perfectly captures the spirit of the eighties. The absence of great action scenes also didn’t matter, by that I mean where helicopters are constantly seen from a distance. The editors and cameramen still managed to create fantastic action scenes that hold up even in today's era. And a proper hero to boot.
