The characters here caught my attention mainly because they were quite well-made caricatures. And also because they were played by actors who are quite well-known. Emma Thompson surprised me a lot in this movie, and I have to admit that I would have a hard time recognizing her if I didn't know it was her. Overall, however, I have somewhat conflicting feelings about the film.
