Brooklyn Farmer

The first rooftop farm, Flagship Farm, covering an area of 45,000 square feet, was founded in New York in 2010. Two years later, an even larger farm followed, located on top of one of the Brooklyn Navy Yard buildings, which is also the location of the first New York apiary. Its area of 65,000 square feet makes the farm the largest rooftop farm in the world. It was founded by Brooklyn Grange, a group of enthusiasts lead by Ben Flanner.
