Nipples, pubic hair and cellulite buttocks. Torture at the hand of an inquisitor. Satan’s envoy wearing a dress and red leggings, raping the blonde main character (the only non-cellulite one) from behind. All of this on the premises of castles and historical courtyards, in period costumes from the time of Elizabeth Báthory. This serious-looking, erotic exploitation B- movie spanning two hours has a plot that is soap-operatically ridiculous, but it stands more on the side of sexy witches than sadistic and/or lesbian inquisitors, while interestingly shuffling the cards between them. And that keeps this guilty pleasure fun until the last minute. At least for me. (28/09/2016)

I must admit that She-Demons was a disappointment for me. Jesús Franco showed us that his style got old and exhausted quite quickly. Not to mention he decided to give this particular film almost two hours of runtime. He simply overdid it. There is nothing all that interesting in the plot that makes the film worth watching for more than an hour. There's hardly any horror, the atmosphere is lacking, the torture doesn't scare or disgust, and worst of all, the eroticism is superficial, even though the women are beautiful. (24/06/2019)
