After leaving a doctors visit with the worst news, Valerie Dreyfuss and her sister Melissa come to a stop on a lonely stretch of road as their car is engulfed by a blinding light. So in the end, the movie "Lost Time" is a sci-fi that tries to present a relatively good idea, but in reality, it just falls apart from the first minute to the end. The characters are not as good as they should be, the scenes are not memorable, and they are not able to convey an interesting idea in a more effective or at least slightly interesting way. Those scary scenes are focused on the effect and they stand out too much.
