English An impressive documentary. Short, incisive, telling not only about the hard training and impressive lives of famous hockey players with million-dollar NHL contracts, but also about the convoluted road to the top, the Russian demagoguery and propaganda that culminated during the Cold War and the constant tensions between the superpowers – or sport as the ultimate politics. The short running time is an advantage this time around, as the pensive glances and relatively repetitive, however impressive, statements of the main stars would have been too much for 120 minutes. This is just right. ()
