The Stranger

"The Stranger" can bore you with its unbelievably slow pace. Surprisingly, it's not a film that has any unexpected twists; on the contrary, it operates on a fairly straightforward level and doesn't really impress. However, what is presented is still unpleasant, and you don't know how much worse it can get. It's not as bad as it could be, but "The Stranger" is a decent little snack that is generally underrated. This film is considered below average everywhere (right now it has 22% positive reviews in Rotten Tomatoes and only 8% satisfied viewers), but I surprisingly liked it. It is not great, surprising or original in any aspect, but it’s still nicely shot, it doesn’t rush and has a pleasant and melancholic mood. I won’t think again about it, but compared to other new horror movies, it’s certainly in the better half. (20/06/2015)
