A visually distinctive documentary showing the transformation of Slovakia from an agrarian into an industrial country. Meticulously composed and poetically rhythmic shots are combined with communist rhetoric to describe the state of the country, the export of raw materials and the population's poverty before World War II, as well as the path out of poverty through industrial development which provided jobs for people at home.
