Twins in Peril

Twin-to-Twin Transfusion Syndrome is a dangerous and rare condition caused by unequal blood supplies and affects 10% of twins in the womb. Twins in Peril takes viewers to St. Joseph's Hospital in Florida where pioneering technology is used to treat this disorder. Using fibre-optic technology and endoscopic cameras, doctors are able to peer inside the womb and in an effort to save each baby's life, sever the swollen blood vessels that are directly connecting the twins to each other.
