Walking Under Water

Many secrets are hidden deep beneath the ocean surface. They have been revealed to young Sari and his uncle Alexan, of the Badjao tribe on the island of Mabul, near Borneo. They are among the last deep sea divers to use an unusual compressor technology to harpoon fish. Along with their prayers to the spirits of the sea, we dive into a mysterious world where the hunters move with the confidence of water people. But this confidence disappears when they return to the mainland, where there are no laws for their tribe to rely on. Their traditions and identity are lost among the tourist resorts and slowly pass away in an endless sea of cash and short-term fun. (One World)
